About

Return to natural rhythms with slow, mindful living. Join me for inspiration as I share gentle daily and seasonal rituals and create intentional moments of calm.

Welcome.

Our world has become filled with constant noise-notifications, obligations and a pace that seems to continually demand more of us. We have moved away from our natural rhythms. The demands of modern life has reshaped how we live. Yet beneath all this is a quiet yearning for a simpler life; for meaningful moments and for the calm that exists in the everyday.

Soft Acre Studio offers a rekindling of these natural rhythms for those who feel the pull to embrace a simpler and calmer life. You will find gentle guidance for morning and evening rituals that are practical , benefits of various teas and the ritual of it, seasonal living aligned with natural rhythms , mindful practices for nervous system care and reflections on slow living without the pressure of perfection. Growing up, I was drawn to the quiet discipline of Eastern practices- martial arts, meditation, the kind of movement that asked you to be present rather than perfect. As University arrived , then marriage and motherhood, I focussed on establishing myself in the ‘real world’, those practices slipped away. Later life became full with marriage and motherhood.

Growing up, I was drawn to the quiet discipline of Eastern practices- martial arts, meditation, the kind of movement that asked you to be present rather than perfect. As University arrived , then marriage and motherhood, I focussed on establishing myself in the ‘real world’, those practices slipped away. Later life became full with marriage and motherhood. was quite by accident that I returned to those faithful practices. I signed up to two year yoga teacher training course after seeing an ad- not because I wanted to teach, but because I was genuinely curious. This training reconnected me with what I had loved when I was younger; intentionality, the awareness, that how you move and breathe matters. I dove deeper with mindfulness courses and of course, personal practice. A morning routine that meets you where you are or an evening ritual to nourish your soul. The gentle pause when steeping tea and actually sipping it while it is still hot! Mindfulness is about creating small moments of calm in your day- practices that help your mind quieten, your nervous system settle and your body to release stress. This space is for women craving a gentle way of living – not perfection. I so look forward to sharing so much of what I have learned along the way.

Warmly, Sonja from Soft Acre Studio xx
